Ruins of Fries Mill are hidden in Manumuskin River Preserve in the Pine Barrens of Southern NJ. It actually took us some time to find the ruins of this ghost town - old saw mill and grist mill, furnace and other buildings.

He built the mill on a bend in the New River, which he had dammed in order to provide power for his new venture. He also built a town nearby to house, educate, and supply the employees of the mill.
